French author Le Clezio awarded 2008 Nobel

The Swedish Academy said Thursday that French novelist Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clezio has won the 2008 Nobel Prize in literature.

- A helmet is more protection than you think. I was in Okinawa in '75 and ran into the back of a Datsun stationwagon going 55mph. Landed 60 feet in front of the car on my head, then hip, and landed on my feet and slid 50 feet to a foot hopping stop, my jungle boots were almost on fire.

- I think I may have been born on a scoot. Got pics of me and my dad on his Mustangs and Indians when i was still in diapers, 50+ years ago. He's 78 now and still riding. My uncle is 86 and still riding. We've all been in accidents.

- Leatherneck- Thanks for the correction. That is what I really meant, most of the people didn't want to be allied with the nazi's, so we kicked their a$$ and made the government/military see the light.

- I was in Italy when I was in the Air Force back in the 70's and had a run-in with the court system there. I was guilty before I even hit the court and had to try and prove my innocence.

- I was addicted to lip balm for 5 years and went cold-turkey. You will get over it, after several weeks of dried and cracked lips. That was 20 years ago and my lips are not a problem.

- My grandson had a stroke sometime in the womb and was born with one half of his brain undeveloped. He had seizures we started recognizing about 1 and a half years old. By the time he was 3 he was having 20 to over a hundred seizures a day.
